Paolo Marra is an ordinary man, almost invisible to those around him. Yet beneath this unremarkable exterior lies a terrible truth: three days earlier, he murdered his wife. Unable to understand his own actions, he is consumed by guilt and convinced that only punishment can offer him redemption. He arrives at the police station ready to confess, expecting justice and a prison cell.
Instead, he finds a world that refuses to acknowledge his crime. Lost in a Kafkaesque labyrinth of indifference and bureaucracy, he encounters distracted police officers, overzealous lawyers, and grotesque figures who treat his confession as an inconvenience rather than a tragedy. His desperate attempts to surrender are repeatedly dismissed, forcing him into an absurd quest to be seen and held accountable.
